Where did April go?

Long, long time no post. April went by fast and now I find myself a week into May. This past month was good to the Cefalo family.

Since I last posted I turned the big 30. It took me by surprise but I had a hard time with it. It's not that I feel like 30 is old. It is just that I never thought I would be 30. For some reason the 20's seemed like they were never going to end. They were good to me. As a family we spent the day enjoying each other. Jake has a new schedule and we were lucky that the 12th fell on one his day's off. Jake and Nathan made me waffles and then we spent time working on our back yard. We then went out to lunch and then tried out the new and only ice cream place in town (it was good) we were so full from the ice cream and big lunch that we waited until the next day to make my birthday treat. Instead of a cake I opted for a banana cream pie. It was super yummy and Nathan now asks to make one regularly. Overall it was a wonderful birthday. I was very blessed.

The next week Jake had an adventure. He spent the weekend taking care of the boys. This hasn't happened before because Andy has refused a bottle. So he has been a little connected to me. Well I had a wedding that I had scheduled months before that was in Las Vegas so off I went. Jake was very thankful because his parents came out to help him with the boys. It took Andy a day but he finally took the bottle. I had a hard time because it was the longest I have ever been away from both Nathan and Andy. The good news is that we all survived and we are the better for it.

The last thing I will tell you is that we finally opened up the kite's from easter the other day. I had been saving them for a day that both Jake and I were around. For whatever reason there had never been a good windy day for us to go out before. Thankfully this past friday the conditions were great. It turned out to be a great family activity. Both of the boys had a lot of fun. Andy enjoyed it too ;) We spent over an hour running around the park near out house. I am pretty sure we will be doing it again in the very near future.

Andy was blinded by the sun but he loved being outside and we were able to attach one of the kite's to his baby seat and it flew for a while.

As with everything in our life the theme was Star Wars... I am ok with that.
