Turkey day and little ones

Thanksgiving has come and gone and we at the Cefalo home have much to be thankful for.

First we have 2 of the cutest little boys (this is my blog so I can say that here). Nathan has been a sweetheart. He is getting so big and smart. It is breaking my heart because he is growing up so fast. I love to see him grow but I hate seeing my baby get bigger. For the past couple of months he was been doing preschool. It has been so good for him. I find that we are doing more and more projects on our own time because he loves activities and learning. I spend a lot of time reading him books and making crafts with him. Over the holiday we took a break from his classes but we decided to keep up the crafts to keep him busy. He is so proud of himself when he finishes them up. This was a painting we did with his hand prints to make a ship for Thanksgiving.

Andy is growing like crazy. He doesn't fit in anything. It is so fun. He is such a happy and sweet baby. I had a little mini photo session with him the other afternoon. Sadly I didn't get the best smiling pic of him because he likes to laugh at me but as soon as I put the camera up he gets this serious look like "what is that?". It was funny. I like what I got though.

Lastly was Thanksgiving dinner. We did our own dinner this year. We stayed in Elko because of Jake's work schedule. It was fun to make our own dinner and start our own traditions. Dinner turned out great but we were sad to not be with family. It made us all the more thankful for the many things they do for us.

We love you all and Happy late Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas :)

Halloween and Blessing Andy

As I said in the last post the family headed to Utah for the holiday weekend. Jake had some time off and we needed to bless Andy so off to Utah we went.

Andy's blessing was very nice. We had lots of friends and family come. Jon and Tami had reserved the community center in their apartments for us. It was a nice middle ground for everyone to meet. Jake did a wonderful job. It was wonderful to see the priesthood in action. It was also so sweet to see all of the people that love our family.

We had many friend come but I didn't get a picture of everyone. I was busy talking... :) I had to post this one of my sweet friends though. They have seen me through everything and I heart them.

After the blessing we got ready for halloween. Halloween is now the favorite holiday around this household. Nathan loved every moment and every spooky thing we did. Jake and I definitely played into his obsession. One of the favorite activities was pumpkin carving. Nathan loved it but he hated the messy part. If anything it was fun to watch his expressions as Jake did the carving.

Andy also enjoyed the carving

I think it turned out pretty cool. Nathan wanted to spooky pumpkin and he chose this :)

After the pumpkins it was time to get dressed. For months Nate had been obsessed with Starwars so Jake and I though it would be fun to dress up. If you asked Nathan anytime in the last month what he wanted to be for halloween he would say " Masta Yoda". We really didn't have a choice in the matter. Andy even got in on it and dress up as a wookie. Sadly he didn't like how itchy his costume was so we only stayed dressed for about 2 minutes. It's ok though.

Nate using the force

Now it is time to gear up for Thanksgiving...and maybe a little Christmas...to take away some of the heartbreak of taking down the Halloween decoration. It's all for Nathan...
