Long summer, Anniversary, and Birthday :)

It has been a month and I have so much to tell you all :) So...The last few weeks have pretty much been a blur to me. I have had little time to do any blogging because I have been busy with family and my business.

The first weekend in Aug was busy. I had a wedding to do that weekend so I didn't get to spend much time with Nathan. Lucky for Nathan his super cool aunt and uncle took care of him. Tami and Jon were so helpful to me this summer. I am so thankful for them. Sadly he ended up getting sick and spent a couple of rough nights with an upset stomach. This was due to the fact that he cut his first teeth! He is now proficient at biting me:)

The next weekend came upon us with a vengeance because it was so busy. First off Jake came home late on Thursday night. We were super excited because it would be his last short weekend trip. Next Jon and Tami made the big move to their new apartment. They are expecting a baby here in another couple of months and they needed a little more room. We had a fun day helping them out and spending time with the family. The next day Jake and I headed to Burley Idaho to do another wedding. Jake was sweet because he didn't have to come but he wanted to spend some time with me and give me some extra help. It was needed. I was super tired by the end of the night and I can't imagine what I would have done if I would have been required to drive home at the end of the night.

The next week was pretty much a blur. Jake went back to finish his final 3 days of his internship. I had baby pictures, engagments, and 2 weddings that week. I spend Monday and Tuesday running all around the valley taking pictures and meeting people for business related things. Jake FINALLY CAME HOME FOR GOOD on Wednesday night! This was just in time for a 3 day stint of weddings. I was so exhausted by Saturday that I sadly got sick. Thankfully I have fully recovered but it was a miserable couple of days. Jake was my hero. He took care of me and Nathan all weekend.

During that week Jake and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Unfortunately we were not together because her was still in Elko. We have decided that we will have a night out together in a month or two to make up for it:)

After all of the craziness we spent a week of recovery and preparation for school. I have done stuff for work and I have picture sessions almost every week. Thankfully wedding season is over for me and I am now down to 1 a month. The money is nice but the stress was high. It is going to a good cause though. We are hoping to buy a house next year. This summer has surely set us on a good course:)

Last week we spent some time up at the cabin with some of our friends. It was really nice. It was our last summer getaway. We had a BBQ and played games late into the night. It was fun to do this since our summer was so caught up with both of our jobs. I can't believe I am saying this but I am happy school has started again. It means we are all together.

Alright so I started writing this post early last week and unfortunately I didn't get the chance to finish it up so this is super long. I am almost done though. The big event of this week was Nathan's 1st birthday. We had a wonderful party and We had a great time. We had a BBQ and I make cakes and cupcakes for everyone. Most all of our families were here. Sadly my mom has been sick and in the hospital so she could not be here for it. I am posting some pictures for her so she can see how the day went. Nathan...we love you. We are so happy you have come into our life. You are the sweetest little monster in the world:)

These are just a few fun pictures we have taken this past month. Nathan has started walking and talking. It has truely been a blessed few weeks.
