One of my favorite times of the day is during bed time. Jake and I say family prayers with Nate and then we give him a chance to say his own personal prayer. When we first started teaching him to pray we would say a very simple prayer having him repeat us. We kept the prayer short and said the same thing every night in hopes that he would learn to say things on his own. In the past few months he has been saying his own prayers pretty much sticking to the original script that we taught him. Well the other night he made his first attempt at saying whatever he wanted... "Dear Heavenly Father. Thank you for mom, thank you for dad and thank you for Disneyland." I pretty much lost it. Good thing Jake can keep a straight face. He helped Nathan finish the prayer while I giggled. It was so cute. Nate definitely wants to go to Disneyland and I am pretty sure that is something we will be doing in the near future ;)
